Thursday, June 10
Join us for our joint bachelor/bachelorette party... if you dare! We will start the night at
Donny Dirk's Zombie Den in NE Minneapolis for drinkies and such.
Abbey particularly recommends tasting a "Naughty Girl" cocktail, served martini-style. It tastes like the
milk at the bottom of a bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch... but with alcohol. AND AWESOMENESS.
Following Donnie Dirk's, the bacchanal continues at Psycho Suzi's Motor Lounge,
the tiki-bar of your dreams! The drinks are powerful and the "Trans-Am Tater Tots" are mighty. Try the fried cheese curds if you want some
authentic upper-midwest noms. We'll likely be holding court out on the ginormous patio somewhere for most
of the evening (so feel free to arrive whenever you please), eventually retiring to the Casa-de-Warren
(2349 Lamplight Drive, Woodbury, MN) for an afterparty of some sort.
Friday, June 11
Considering the party on Thursday night, I doubt we'll be in any shape to join you for breakfast...
We'll likely be working on last minute preparations like flowers, etc. Feel free to help out if you like! We'd
love the company.
If you're in the wedding party, please meet up at the Lakewood Cemetery Chapel at 4:00pm for a brief rehearsal.
Nothing fancy, just want to make sure we all know what the heck we're doing! We'll be heading to dinner afterwards
at El Paraiso Mexican Restaurant (6:00 pm), conveniently located
next door to our apartment. We're hoping to be out on the patio if the weather is nice. No need to dress up, this
is all very casual! Family are welcome as well, even if you're not in the wedding party.
Saturday, June 12
We'll most likely be primping and preening for much of the day, so there's no official activity on the calendar.
We're negotiating with the Sheraton Midtown to have a shuttle for guests to the ceremony location. Stay tuned
for more info in the coming weeks.
If you're family and/or in the wedding party, make sure to stick around after the ceremony for official photo-time.
Meet us at the Rau-Barber building for the fantabulous reception. A Mediterranean buffet supper will be
provided by Holy Land Bakery & Deli. The cake will be home-made,
as will the beer, brewed especially for the wedding by Abbey (with lots of help and encouragement from her
friend, Joe Warren!). Other refreshments will be available too, of course. An iPod will be serving as DJ for
the evening, so feel free to bring your own as well if there's a special song you want to boogie to!
We'll be staying in a suite at the wedding hotel that night, so there will likely be some kind of afterparty
in the suite once the reception comes to a close.
Sunday, June 13
This is another absolute favorite restaurant of ours, so please come out and join us for the lunch buffet
before leaving town!
